Rya was awarded Best of Opposite at the Belleville & District KC show this weekend.   Rya got a Starters Snooker Q which finished her Starters Games Dog of Canada title. Out Back Agility with judge Janet Lundy,  Jora got to attend the Retired Agility Dogs (RAD) event at Paws 4 Fun. He had a great time showing off his agility skills at 9 years old. Last weekend at Big Sky Phaedra got alot closer to her Agility Trial Championship with another Master Gamble Q. We attended the Elgin County Kennel Club and Great Dane specialties this past weekend. Rya picked up 6 points towards her Grand Championship.  Phaedra had a blast showing in veterans this weekend at 3 Dane specialties in southern Ontario.  The Kenzo x Phaedra puppies are now 3 years old. Here are some current photos. Some of my favourite photos of the Danes on our final mountain trip before moving across the country. Rya showed at the Northern Alberta Canine Association show this weekend. This was our last dog show before our move. We are looking forward to finishing her Canadian Grand Championship after we are settled into our new home.  This weekend we attended the Northern Alberta Canine Association shows and trials. Phaedra was shown in Veterans and Utility. This was her last event in Alberta but we are already looking forward to more shows and trials in our new province later this summer. The first of the month is always exciting around here as we get to see who is in the calendars. This time it's Jora as June in the Avonside calendar. Photography by Mark Raycroft.  The dogs got mail! Versatility Certificates from CKC. Jora got his Versatility Novice and Phaedra got her Versatility Excellent. I love my well rounded dogs with a variety of titles! Some recent photos of 2 of the Kenzo x Phaedra puppies. They will be 3 years old this summer.   In a surprise turn of events one of the calendar companies released 2 versions of the Dane calendars for 2026 and they chose Hudson as their cover model. So now each of our current Danes has a cover next year.  Our blue dogs got a clean sweep of all the covers for the 2026 Great Dane Calendars. They both made the CKC Top Dogs list for 2024. Phaedra # 2 Agility Dane in Canada Rya #5 Rally Dane in Canada Phaedra hit the ring this weekend in Red Deer, AB. She showed as a veteran for the 1st time on her 7th birthday. Rya & I spent the weekend at the Battle River Canine Association show in Camrose, AB. She is 2.5 years old and working on her Grand Championship. |
